The season’s last roses – how to catch them red-handed
In the evening, lie down among them. Beware of thorns. Keep your camera where it belongs, at your fingertips. Yawn. Fall asleep. Dream of the moon passing by. Wait for its waning. Wait for the crack of dawn. Wake up now, but do not open your eyelids. Pretend you’re still asleep. Just spy through your eyelashes and watch the rosy-fingered dawn unveiling its charms above the horizon. Morning is breaking like the last morning. Now the time has come for the ritual dance of the season’s last roses. Are they unobserved? Good. When nobody watches, when nobody listens, they can whisper their secrets to each other.
Now is your moment. Grasp your camera. Press the button.

This photo is lovely! adaatude.com
Your photography is absolutely STUNNING. You captured this photo at the perfect time. I think what I like the most about this is that you got some dryed out roses, and I think that is what makes this even more beautiful. I can’t get over this, but great work!

The fact that some of the roses have dried out may indeed add to the appeal of the photo, I hadn’t thought about that yet! Perhaps you’re right :) Have a great weekend! Xx
This image is perfect, in fact I absolutely adored the whole post.:D

Lovely photo. You can still find roses now, indeed, exceptionally. I’m glad you caught them and I can see them here. Joyful style!

Thank you! Xx
What a beautiful post. I immediately heard music to it. Cat Stevens singing:
“Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird”
I guess the song echoed in your mind when you wrote: “Morning is breaking like the last morning.” Am I right? And tell me, when you pressed the button, wasn’t blackbird speaking like the last bird?
Anyway, praise for your photo, praise for your words, praise for the last morning, praise for the roses.
Fanny of Cat (and, from this moment on, Bold Bliss)
The answer to your questions is (twice): yes! Praise for your clairvoyance…
