On the eve of the New Year, I wanted to take a moment to look back on the past year. I’m not really the person for New Year’s resolutions, so I’m happy to report that I didn’t break any nor will I in 2016. Instead I set goals for myself all year round, so many that I probably only remember those I reach (this approach is rather good for my sense of accomplishment).
Looking back on 2015, the most important novelty the year has fetched me is my blog. I published my first blog post, bursting with excitement, a little over eight months ago. Now, sixty blog posts later, I still love writing every single post and I can’t imagine my life without blogging. In the same way I don’t think that in my pre-blogging era, I could have imagined what life would be like with a blog. Little did I know that in 2015, location scouting would become one of my #firstworldproblems, that I’d spend countless hours on tweaking unfathomable CSS codes (for my site and newsletter), or that I’d be in a constant race against time to update the exponentially growing number of social media channels (with checkered success). Even less did I foresee that dressing up, jumping around in the wind and experimenting with the “walking-by-effortlessly-without-seeing-the-photographer” pose (often in temperatures unfit for the clothes I’m wearing), would become a normal part of my weekly routine.
I’ve loved every part of it so far and I would like to say a very big thank you to all of you who have, in one way or another, supported my blog in 2015: the brands for giving me the chance to work on some amazing collaborations. My readers and fellow bloggers, for sending comments, likes, tweets and emails my way or just for taking the time to visit my blog and follow along on my journey. For you, I’ve composed this grid of my outfits of 2015 and selection of my thirty favourite travel photos (you can click on each photo to be redirected to the relevant blog post). What fun we have had together.
Wishing you all the most incredible New Year’s Eve!
